Shame the coverage started 2/3 of the way down, but what a time from Minaar!

yeah why miss out some of the best features of the track? broadcasting issues I guess? would have like to have seen more of the actual DH rather than the fast, erm, flat bits!

The commentary mentioned issues with cabling the upper part of the track. Minaar gained most of his time by pedalling and riding smoothly on the lower parts. One of few to jump the hip cleanly, and he seemed to keep the power on carving up the bank around the last double better than any other rider.

yeh only Rennie and Minnar cleared the hip, Rennie going over the high side and Minnar just hitting it way fast.

That was a hell of a ride by Minnar, local knowledge or not,
