   I live in a small town near Bilbao. This summer, from the beginning of July until the beginning of September i'll be messing about in different places on my bike. I need someone to look after our bloody cats. So, does anyone fancy free use of my half-house? All you have to do is feed the cats. If you want to go away for a day or two it's ok to leave them a few days food so you arent tied to the house every day.

   The house is about 25 minutes walk to the Metro. There's a couple of decent trails straight out the door. There's loads of great riding/drinking/eating to be done in the basque country.

   The weather will be good, there's live concerts on, loads of local festivals etc.

   Ideally you'll come over in a car.

   The exact dates arent decided yet but, is anyone interested?

   Wow, what an amazing offer! We weren't planning on going abroad this summer, but this is very tempting...Need to talk to the wife first, but could possibly do 2 or 3 weeks in August

   I think you'll struggle to find someone at a loose end for 2 months, unless they're 'ne'er-do-wells'(students)

   I know someone who could do it, and is interested.
   She is a) skint
   b)Needs to write a book over the summer
   c) Has all that time available
   d) is utterly reliable

   well, it's not out of the question. A friend is quite happy to pop round and feed them but it's a bit of an imposition i feel, so if noone can do the full time, you are more than welcome to come over for a few weeks.

    Sounds very nice...will speak to the wife tonight and see if she is interested - would only be able to do 2 or 3 weeks in July though, but it could be tied up with others.

    I friend of mine can do the whole period, she works in education, is a writer wanting a bolt hole, has july-sept off work, and also loves cats.
