Cafe 21 is near there and ok, however I was starving when I came out. Big plates small food doesn’t work with us Geordies.

Orchid is a good Chinese restaurant on quayside halfway between arena and malmaison. Also Indians Sachins is excellent too and next to arena.

They sell English wine (and cider) as well which is actually quite nice.

odo is good for noodle based dishes, Blackfriars is good for traditional food, i think its the oldest eatery in Newcastle, Syfron is a good indian on the Quayside, I’ve Noosh is good not been but a few colleagues enjoyed it. Theres loads of chain type places to eat or if you oriental food head to Stowell St.
