at 2 am on thursday thieves attempted to steal my bikes from the shed but found it was alarmed with a 130 decibel and strobe light system and the bikes were also secured well, however they did manage to cause a fair bit of damage to the entrance gate and the shed door fortunatley all is repairable (at some cost though)and they've shown me what the weak points are so all is being redesigned to make it even harder for the next time they try, naturally i'm pissed at the scum bastards but feel pleased that this time they failed. just thought i'd share this with the good people of singletrack world.

can you add a motion-activated camera so next time it all kicks off with the lights and the noise we can see the reaction? 🙂

Safe bet that they will try again. Perhaps consider keeping the bikes inside for a few weeks, or sleep inside the shed with a gun. Or both.

Well done foiling the theiving *****! I could only be happier if they had injured themselves in the process. Wish I'd taken as many precautions as you before I lost the wheels and saddle from my bike earlier this week.
