  • Why does the odd document spool up to about 10 times it’s actual size (3mb for a bank statement in this instance!!!!), then when you try and delete it from the document queue it takes about an hour to do so? In the meantime, I can’t print owt else.

    Grrr!

Try a PCL driver instead of PS, or vice versa.

To delete it, after you’ve deleted from the queue do

    net stop spooler
    net start spooler

    … at a command prompt.

Try power-cylcing the printer inbetween stop and start to flush the printer’s buffer.

I think someone has just tried to help me, but I’m not fluent in Swaheli…… 😉

Pause the print job, before trying to delete it.

In the print queue, right click document you want to delete, select “pause” (its status should become “paused”), then right click and and select delete.
