   I'm selling my old wheels as I bought the Black Flags from CRC at Christmas. I've just had a neutral feedback for some shoes which I'm sure were damaged by the new owner so am now more nervous about these given the condition and age plus there was that recent post. I've tried to be as honest as possible so would appreciate your views on the ad. This ad will be going into ebay soon so your help would be appreciated.    Shimano XT/Hope XC/Mavic 717 Disc

   You are bidding on a pair of wheels that I’ve recently removed due to an upgrade. Wheels are approximately 5-6 years old however in my opinion they have been looked after fairly well considering their age.

   The front wheel is in much better condition than the rear mainly due to being used on a hardtail however both wheels are still very much useable and have plenty of life left in them. These wheels would suit anyone wishing to kit out a winter bike or just wanting a second set of wheels.

   Front Wheel: Hope XC with Mavic 717 Disc

   Bearings haven’t been changed as they still feel pretty smooth and no play. Rim runs true and is in pretty good condition for its age but does have some scratches to the surface.

   Rear Shimano XT [M756] with Mavic 717 Disc

   I have just serviced the hub to check the condition of the internals and the bearings, cups and cones all seem in good condition considering the age. Bearings were changed a few years ago. Freehub body has been fine to date although it is the original. Please see following image:-

   The rim has been heavily used and has scratches to the finish. It does have two dents in the rim. One is minor and has been left untouched while the other was straightened by a shop. Both dents have been there for about 2 years and don’t appear to have had any affect on wheel strength to date.

   There is a slight wobble to the wheel but don’t see any reason why this couldn’t be taken out if you’re handy with a spoke key. Two of the spokes on the cassette side have been scuffed and slightly bent by the chain – could be the cause of the wheel being out of true.

   I have tried to describe the items as clearly as possible however if you have any further questions or want any more photos then please get in touch.

   If you feel that the Hope bearings or Shimano freehub need changing within 6 months of sale then providing you buy the relacement parts and are local to Havant then I will be more than happy to fit them for you if you feel there is any need.

   Please ensure payment is made within 24hours of auction ending. Collection is welcome.

   Just seen that Hope XC bearing are only £7 anyway. Should I just get a set and remove the bit about helping to change bearings/free hub?

   Just bought some bearings. Front wheel will be in damn good condition and the rear rim just isn't that great. Think it's been detailed enough

   Can I get your feedback on the attached please as I'm fuming and don't know if I really have cause to be. Had negative feedback as the freehub has broken, has taken 2 weeks for the chap to get in contact. Well annoyed as this is second time running I've not had positive feedback. I have given a very detailed appraisal of the wheels and had noted that they are 5-6 years old and running the original freehub. Don't think there's much else I can do, responded to feedbacka nd sent him a message.

   Was tempted to give a refund and get the wheel back as they were a bargain at that price for a pair but can't guarantee he hasn't nailed them in the mean time.

   Any thoughts?

   Taff, why are you selling on Ebay and not the classifieds?

   I'm done with effing Ebay after a stupid bloody idiot buyer raised a dispute against me because the jacket they bought is too big! They want to return it to me for a refund - now Ebay have frozen my Paypal account!
   Last time I sell anything on there.
   It doesn't matter what you say in the description regarding T&Cs, Ebay take the side of the buyer. So they can F RIGHT OFF. ARGH!

   [edit] sorry, just noticed your last post - it is all in the past. Offer the buyer a partial refund?

   I normally sell on the classifieds but have been giving ebay a go recently for stuff that hasn't previously sold.

   No contact was made, straight in with the negative feedback. Talking to ebay now but they say not much can be done. They've advised I contact him by phone or ebay msg but they won't remove it which isn't what I want. Would rather neutral feedback than negative. Really pissed off with ebay at the moment.

   Folk know there are knobs on eBay. Take the neg and move on, I doubt it will affect future sales.

   It's only from a future sales point of view really that I am worried.

   Think I'll try and sell my remaining stuff on here if that fails then perhaps gumtree or somewhere.

   Anyone on here want to buy a pair of size 6 Carvela high heels?!

    I would just move on then, most reasonable folk would make contact before leaving bad feedback.
    Neg feedback doesn't always put me of buying things, you have also pointed out that it was the original freehub body!

    As others have said move on. The buyer has retracted a number of bids on items and also bought a 1971 copy of Mayfair - so definitely a bit dodgy IMO

    Rims in good condition, however freehub broke first ride.

    What a bellend. Buy brand new if you dont want to risk this.

    I'd go round his house and hit him hard.

    Taff, as an experienced ebay seller, I really would try not to worry about it. Your original listing couldn't have been more fair and I'm sure any genuine potential future buyers will see your reply to the neg feedback and understand.

    I have 916 positive feedback comments and one neutral - I sold a Hope skewer a few months ago, wrongly listed as a rear when it was in fact a front skewer - my fault entirely and when the buyer got in touch I refunded immediately before the item was returned. She left me neutral feedback (although I was able to reply) and the item was never returned for me to relist - you live and learn, eh?

    I sold a watch on ebay last year, a raymond weil, the T#t that bought it said that my desceiption was inaccurate and the watch was in poor condition. ( the photos I took in macro with dslr and in natural light, were brutaly honest in their appraisal of said watch.) this pillock then requested a part refund. My advice would be to sell your wheels in a classified , save the worry .
