I have a DX light with a two pin charger, I thought I maybe able to use a shaver adaptor but the little light on the charger doesn't come on. Do I need a different adaptor or can you just cut the plug off and stick a UK one on?

I just use a shaver adaptor.

Does the charger led light when you plug the battery in?

I take it you have the "bastid bike light"

The led should come on when you connect to the battery even if it's not plugged into the mains.

My shaver adapter didn't work well, so I have a European to UK adapter from Robert Dyas. Works fine now – light is green when you connect the charger, red when charging and green when fully charged. Takes 5 hours though to charge it. You can buy a charger with a UK 3-pin plug from magicshineuk

First night ride last night, wife is new to biking but loved the night riding also!
