The man has been a part of my life as long as I can remember, through school and uni and exhibitions.

Just watched the Rankin directed documentary on Netflix. Utterly mesmerising.

    Photographs, huh?

Did you see the recent retrospective exhibition at the imperial war museum? It was quite something. The only exhibition I’ve been too and seen people crying. Very moving to see the pictures on a large scale rather than in magazines. Has a massive impact!

I’ve got a couple of his books. Incredibly moving images, a truly excellent photo journalist.

    That was fantastic. Realy powerful.

Saw an exhibition of his in Bath a few years ago – images that captured a thousand words and emotions. A real eye-opener on the desperation of war and also some of the UK’s more deprived communities.

Watching it right now. What a life to have led.
