I'm guessing that is a 4 way junction. So one sign for each line of approaching traffic would require 4 signs. There are 4 signs each with a post…so that's ok. I would probably get rid of the white chevrons though…..that would require 4 less posts. So no, I reckon the roundabout needs 50% less posts.

It definitely needs more balloons though.

I like the pattern of bricks at the base, indicating direction. I think that's a nice touch.

My favourite roundabouts are the ones where mini roundabouts have replaced x-roads and T junctions.

You get half way round making a U-turn round one, and find out that the roundabout is considerably smaller than the turning circle of your car 😆

The 'traffic light' Stoner's pic shows is a sculpture which was originally intended to only be in place over the Christmas period several years ago. It proved so popular that it was left in place.

Up here in Scotland roundabouts tend to be named.

At first I found this quite strange when I moved up here from down south, but now I actually find it quite handy for giving people directions.

It looks to be about 2.6m diameter which makes it a mini roundabout so it does look like they're over egged the pudding somewhat. I'd argue that it shouldn't even have a raised kerb edging.

Roundabouts are named all over. Big ones at least. I seem to remember Wobbly Wheel and a Box Heater somewhere – Devon perhaps?
