any reason this wouldn’t be OK?

mainly down to stock issues, but a ‘better’ front would be ok wouldn’t it?

Probably wouldn’t make any difference at all.
It’ll be finish and weight rather than outright performance.

Depends if you are ordering from abroad and need to switcheroo the levers

Different pads may be an issue for some as well.

    Deore brakes are brilliant.
Got them front and rear on my Prince Albert. Well impressed… 🙂

You won’t notice any performance issues/differences. As above, deores are superb. I am always amazed at the vertebrae-shattering power I get from mine, awesome!

Fitted some new Deore brakes to the commuter as the hope mono minis were corroded. They are fantastic for the money.

The calliper is a bit clunky but the feel and power is great.

The only reason why you shouldn’t and to be honest it is a biggie. Your levers and calipers won’t match. Aesthetics are important. Lets face it – people on here are very keen that tyre logos and valves line up.

Better a pair of Deore than mix and match.

Deores in stock at tweeks cycles, just ordered a pair and they price matched crc with free delivery. 1/2 hour ago.
