Things I have learnt on my first hardtail outing round Dalby in 3 or 4 months…
1. Im unfit, but not as much as I thought – 1 loop of Dalby red with a detour loop round the black XC course in 2 hours 42.
2. The hardtail will kill my back for good at… some point.
3. I can't climb for buggery -my legs just don't seem to want to work. Sprinting on the other hand….
4. I need to learn to take it easy on some sections instead of thinking every section of twisty zoomy singletrack is a 4x race.
5. I still can't get over that stupid root climb!
6.Riding a hardtail is NOT in any way a 8" travel downhill/freeride bike – I cannot take the same lines at Whitecliffs on the hardtail without incurring some serious breakage of bike or bones…
7.People need to pick up their rubbish – You carried it there, carry it home you knobbers!
8.The trail conditions are fantastic at the moment! Go and have a fun blast before the bad weather starts!
9.It's alreadt getting really dark in those heavily wooded sections..
10.If you think Dalby is sanitized and getting boring on a full susser, try riding it on hardtaii its 'kin ace!!!
