Thinking of heading off to Cwmcarn this morning anyone been out there today/yesterday?

and if so is this a stupid idea, and I should go walking instead.

6 to 8″ inches of snow in the bottom of the valley around Cwmcarn area will be worse on top. Main roads ok, side roads slippy and any reasonable size hills you’ll need a 4 X 4 to get up.

Was up there half hour ago walking, carpark is locked and the road up is pretty slippery but I managed to drive up to the wheel in my Peugeot106. We walked the road up past the cabin then come back down the trail on the second section and i can confirm there are no tyre tracks on that section. I think It could be ridden but would be very difficult. I would say better riding conditions than last saturday morning.
    Cheers
