    I don’t want much, light, cross frame for racing not just as a commuter/alternative to hard tail.

    I paln use by road bike as a donar for most all the parts except the brakes which are easy to source. Thinking of the Kenesis evo4, any other suggestions?

    OCCP from shopforcross, same frame as the Poison bikes. Light weight for the price

    I have a 2 year old 54cm BMC cx02 frame/fork for sale if that’s of interest?

    aP – sorry I’m over 6 ft, look for 58cm or so, would have been nice though.

    Scott CX is very popular at the races. It has lots of mud clearance, which if it’s your only bike is a big factor. The Kenesis bikes, which good, do tend to start to clog after a bit. Empella or Columbus are also popular choices.

    Giant TCX frameset might be worth a look. I race one so this is a totally unbiased opinion!

    If you are tall, this is probably a good buy;

    The Paul Milnes ones are good value (ebay shop). You have to put your own bottle boss riv-nuts in though if you plan on drinking though real men don’t.

    Kinesis EVO 4 is a very nice frame. Light, carbon rear stays and with the fork judder issue fully resolved. TCX is OK but not as good IMO.
