    Hi,

I'm thinking of going for a Commencal Super 4, but just wanted some feedback on it's reliability and maintenance. I've heard some reports of the pivot bearing needing annual replacement and that this isn't an easy job (at home or in a workshop).

Any thoughts or experiences before I part with the readies??

    Cheers, Mombee.

    Hi Mombee,

I have a Super 4 VIP which I bought about this time last year. Has been great maintenance wise. I think I have only replaced the shock bushings really. Bent the hanger after about a month and it was a bit expensive to replace but no biggie. The thing is though I have a hardtail and Road bike which I train on and the Super 4 is reserved for racing so I may well have had to replace the bearings sooner had I been riding every day. Not a massive job I don't think.

In terms of it handling and stuff, it is spot on. Not the lightest but still got me some wins this season.
