Just bought some iTunes vouchers at Comet. It took ages. I understood that each voucher needed a receipt. Looking in the cold light of day I see that there's an activation code on the receipt. So it looks instead like the receipt is the voucher & the iTunes plastic card is some sort of instant landfill.

Surely, I'm mistaken and Comet don't seriously expect me to give someone a cruddy till receipt & some plastic litter as a gift?

When I bought some of these vouchers in the USA they scanned the card's barcode at the till and you got to scratch & type the code. As Jobs intended.
