    Oh dear, my boiler packed up 2 days ago but I we can live with that, a oven is a bit more critical to Christmas day.

    Just phoned my Mum/Dad. Their oven has borked too. I suggested my Dad fire up the chiminea

    Thankfully my mum doesn’t live too far away, so the meat and spuds are now there. Veg will be on rotation in the microwave. All adds to the excitement.

    power has been flicking on and off here

    and at my dads 3 mile away they have no power for 3 hrs – in the wilds of nottingham !
