fancy some cheapo wheels for winter tyres – steel’s OK, or alu IM(uninformed)O

what would a cheap wheel fail to do that a ‘spensive one does ?

    will I die ? 🙁

Use steel wheels with your winter tyres as when you smash a pothole or kerb the steel wheel can be hammered back into shape where as your alloy is scrap.

Mytyres.co.uk were doing excellent prices on a set of steelies with winter tyres in summer. The price is now considerably higher.

Yep as above if you buy the tyres and wheels from my tyres they are pretty good value as a package. Don’t forget winter tyres don’t last long and its not really been bad enough here yet to fit them.

I’m not really sure it’ll ever get bad enough here – south coast – so only after some all season (or soft) things really rather than snow tyres

Scrap yard for steel wheels, probably 50 quid a set tops.
