sorry for the noddy question but here we go; I need to change the gear cables on my bike. I have xt 760 pods but am not sure how to get the old cables out and the new ones in. My old pods had little flaps you could open to get inside the pod, but those were cica 1995. This modern technology is too much for me 😯

Thanks in advance for any help

There should be a small philips screw head near the shoulders of the levers.

undo that and you can pull and push cables in.

Yeah, little rubber screw to take off, but make sure you’ve clicked down to the smallest ring/cog first otherwise the end of the cable isn’t in the right place.

Cheers, i can see three screws on the base of the pod, is it one of these you mean markd, and Rickos, do you mean the tension adjuster screw that the cable housing sits in?, sorry but still a wee bit confused. As I say I am a bit old school

It’s the big plastic one that sits alongside where the two levers enter the shifter.
