+1 Echobelly On, loved that album when it first came out. Listened to Dookie the other day, great album, also Placebo’s self titled (debut?) album – Molko’s voice is a bit marmite though.

Bit OT (and about 15 years out of date…), has anyone got Portishead – Dummy? What’s it like? Love ‘Numb’, just not sure it’s worth getting an album on the strength of one song. Any opinions?

If you like ‘Numb’, you’ll like the whole album.
I think it’s excellent from start to finish.

Went through hundreds of CDs at the weekend to slim down my collection and found Northern Sulphuric Soul by Rae and Christian. Put it in the ‘keep’ pile.

Cocteau Twins – Victorialand. One of those purchases that got listened to once and then lost in the mists of time. Loving it. Oh, and I’d rate Dummy as one of the best albums of the last 20 years, often available for £3-4 so it belongs in your collection if you like that style of music.

Dark Side of The Moon never disappoints and the Velvet Underground are still influencing modern music and its no wonder having just recently listened to VU.

    Another Echobelly and Portishead fan.

Just rediscovered Sleeper with the Smart album, and Elastica. May have to revisit my formative Brit pop/indie years with some of Blur (Leisure and Modern Life is Rubbish), Dodgy’s Free Peace Sweet, and Supergrass I Should Coco!

Popped The Thrills-So much for the City on the stereo for the morning commute and best of Stone Roses on the way home, sang myself hoarse.
