Criteria: good riding nearby (road or offroad)
Great kids play area and/good non biking family entertainment nearby (town or sight seeing)

Possible?

Parkcliffe is nice but rough when you hear a Sheffield accent 😉

ravenglass steam railway runs through it
Riding nearby not much night life but it is quiet so you get sleep

Dinham park between Wadebridge and Polzeath, near Cardinham and decent road riding along the lanes too.
Beaches, towns (Wadebridge is nice) and loads of family stuff too, bit of a trek for you though probably (oh and you're allowed campfires on the grass pitches with the owner supplying wood 😀 Free

Highly recommend Middlewood Farm at Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby. A bit pricey but worth it and panty for the family to on the door step or going to the nearby towns.

Hora this one is great turner hall in seathwaite. Great riding road or off road. Pub 10 minute walk. River near for paddling for the little un. Short drive to the Eskdale miniature railway. Stunning scenery.

Just for the record, the park cliffs flooding thing is reference to hora's lad baiting hora by setting the taps running permanently. It's a lovely site

Try Woodlands at Devils Bridge in a Wales.

http://www.woodlandsdevilsbridge.co.uk

It's a lovely family run site. Some great riding from the door or a trail centre 5k up the road.

They also have the best shower block you will ever see. A little biased as I had a big part in the build.

They also have a working farm.
