Hi campers, can anyone recomend a decent quality tent for use on a weeks biking trip in wales this time of year? I know an arc may be more suitable, but i feel the need! theres only me going but want to have the bike inside the tent at night, so guess a 2 man with porch is what i’m after? Any recomendations upto about £175ish? Its not having to be carried by bike, so weight not to much issue.
    Thanks peeps.

I’d certainly be spending that much on a bloody sleeping bag too!!

I already have, from my fishing days! I must admit, i am a bit concerned that once i get wet and cold from riding, i wont warm up in the evening. Still, better than going to work! 😆

I’d go and look at some of the Vango stuff. http://www.camperlands.co.uk had some good offers on last week.

If you are only driving with the tent then I’d go for something much bigger. A 2 man will still be cosy with a bike inside. Much better to have a bit of space to dry clothes and get changed. We use a 7 man for the 2 of us which is lovely and roomy even with two bikes.

I saw those vango omega’s, they look perfect at a good price too! The 250 – 2man is less than £90 too! result i think.
    Thanks all!

get the highest tent you can, there’s nothing worse than trying to wriggle into slightly damp clothes whilst lying on your back. and get one that pitches outer first.
