Can anyone remember Bros, the popular boy band that my sister used to listen to in the late 80’s? I love nothing better than kicking back with a bottle of flip top Grolsch, listening to my favourite song, ‘when will I, will I be famous, (I can’t answer, I can’t answer that).’ What’s your favourite Bros tune, good people? I can’t be the only fan on here.

I like Brod. Especially Matt Godd.

Not as much as people that edit though. They’re the best.

I saw them play at some teeny disco before they were famous!

When I was younger and less boring I used to go to at least a gig a week. I saw dozens of forever unknown bands, but Bros is the only group I can say I saw before they were popular.

    (Cool story, huh?)

“Too much” was a good song – from that difficult second album they did.

Fizzer – Bros are all encompassing and epitomise what life is like for us mountain bikers. Cool, sophisticated, talented, chilled out, clean, fresh, loved by ladies (and gents), the list goes on. There is no room for haters in this thread, thank you.

My (female) neighbour went out with one of them, he used to drive down our road in a red 911 with a BRO5 plate.

I snogged her sister, first girl I ever copped a feel of. (Sqidlord, together we’ve got a top 10 seller!)

My best mate bought Cat Amongst The Pigeons when it came out. Boy, how we took the piss.

TBFT, they seemed to be decent young lads who got the break and ended up living the pop dream.

Matt and Luke did, Ken ended up working in an abattoir.

I prefered ‘Johnny hates jazz’, they seemed more grown up.

They went to my school. I’m guessing that probably makes me a bit of a celebrity too then?

I worked security when Luke Goss and the Band of Thieves played the Riverside in Newcastle. His mum was the tour manager, which is pretty un-rock and roll. The worst part were the audience – mostly women who hadn’t given up on him since Bros. ‘king scary they were.
