I had 8 weeks off the bike when I did mine a couple of years ago. The medic that saw me in A/E was pretty switched on as although she couldn’t see a break, on the original X-ray, arranged for a follow up X-ray and MRI scan. These confirmed the break and monitored the healing process, which was good as I’d been treated as if I had broken the goddamn bone.

Luckily they spotted it straight away and x-rayed looking for it. It was a pretty obvious break too apparently. I did two days of mtfu’ing over the weekend trying to convince myself that it was just a sprain. Hope it didnt do too much extra damage, though i did wear a wrist splint. Sounds like its one of the worst bones to break 🙁
