Just back from 2 days in Brechfa - rode Cym Rhaeder and Doethie Valley in one big (or it felt big) loop Saturday, then the Red trail at Brechfa sunday - bloody loved it.

Big thanks to Jonathan for the cottage - lovely setup, great house, we'd love to come back.

Also big thanks to Carl from Bike Brechfa, who guided us all day - we'd never have found our way to all that variety and beauty without a week of GPS faffing.

That final ST descent through the valley was stunning - cheers mate. People - I strongly urge you to avail yourself of his services.

Top weekend - great weather, great riding, no injuries or mechanical fuckwittery - I'm a happy man. Despite ending up covered in liquid sheep shit.

Carl is a good man, my brother in law is also starting up a bit of guiding in the area too

You had an awesome weekend for it so glad that the weather and riding was on your side.

I've been riding there since 1988, gets better every year and it's the reason I havent been anywhere else (apart from Doethie). for 8 years.

We've just had a weekend there too - it really is a great place to ride. We stuck mainly to the waymarked trails this time, sectioning some bits and making up a few others

I can thoroughly recommend This place if there's a big group of you - fantastic s/c accommodation in a perfect position for the Raven trail or more "natural" tracks.

Looking forward to our next trip there already

Carl of Brechfa Bikes did an admirable job encouraging the slower members of the group, ahem, yes, me - so agree with the recommendation wholeheartedly.

Thanks to the Royal Oak Inn in Rhandirmwyn for opening up especially when they saw 10 very tired MTBers approaching out of the afternoon sun too.

Stayed in that cottage a couple of years ago, just after Jonathon had finished it; it's awesome isn't it? Must ride at Brechfa again soon, it's the only trail centre that I enjoy riding at tbh.
