hi all,just bought some hope tech x2's and i'm struggling to get the right positioning with the shifter (shimano deore)would the shifters with the removable optical display work better,hope this makes sense,thanks for looking, Ian.

The fitting is much better with the windowless shifters, although you should find that you'll get the most out of the Tech lever if you move it further inboard than one might typically put a lever. Mine are at least 21cm in from the bar-end and would possibly clear a window in that position.

Hi had the same problem with my Orange r8 i removed the optcal display and put the shifters inside the brack bracket and it sorted the problem .
