    Sturgeon for the fish, but it’s unclear which species have been native, although at least one, definitely has.
    You don’t see many of them these days though.

    Amazing fish. I did an internship at the Centre for Great Lakes Studies in Milwaukee when they were looking at sustainable caviar production in the Midwest – I’m not sure they’d fully thought through the demographics of their local market TBH.

    People made brushes from all sorts of hair.. they just tried whatever was available and someone found that badger was the right length and texture..?

    there’s no large native Sturgeon in British waters are there..?

    and as mentioned before.. although King Carp are the largest are they native..? I ould say yes.. there are thriving populations in our river systems.. and the largest in the lake environment are not recent imports.. nor do they display characteristics of imported European Carp..

    Otherwise it’s surely the Pike..
