Love the 'This is why you wear a helmet' line. Sure, because lots of deer run into me on my bike ride.

Same thing happened to a guy we rode with on the TransAm. He thought the deer was a dog, so he instinctively reached for his Mace spray, then boom they collided. It was only when he was he was lying face to face with the deer on the ground he realized what had happened. His bike was wrecked and his tour over. He had a few scratches but nothing broken. Close call as he was speeding downhill laden.
