Who is best for custom bike insurance?
My house insurance wont cover my bikes as they are custom builds (halifax)
I have searched the forum but cant find anything on this topic.
I have entered the details into googles top hit companies and they wont insure above £5000 for all of the bikes combined.
I am looking for 10k of cover for 3 bikes – who should I use?

    Cheers

M&S – up to £5k per bike IIRC.

    M&S house insurance.

I had a Cove Handjob stolen, and they paid up super quick and included an additional amount for the build (ie on top of the value of the componenets for labour). This was about 12months ago.

Just make sure that you keep photos and remember to list everything should the worst happen.

I also have the ‘contents away from home’ option, which covered my other bike when it was taken off the roof of my car.

Can’t fault them – maybe not the cheapest, but worth it in my opinion.

We’re with either 3XD or Halifax (can’t remember which – mix & match between home and contents) but on top of the usual household guff, I’ve got roughly £6k bike cover in total. Replacement or agreed value. Total premium is £24 a month. And that’s in city centre.
