Peroni in hand but there's a chocolate stout in the kitchen I'm thinking of trying before the red wine comes to to play. It's calming my nerves while I try and lay down a funky house drumbeat in Reason.

Purity are one of my fave new breweries. The UBU is ace! Butty Bach, Hare and Meantime, all good. Well done.

    I'm starting on one of these;

    Man beer. 😉

Then there's a Summer Lightning, a Hog's Back TEA and a Brains SA Gold. Almost like a greatest hits!

djglover, great minds, eh? Waitrose have a smashing range of beer these days. Almost as good as the Spar in Machynlleth, which is superb by the way!

One bottle of Old Empire and one bottle of Hobgoblin, went for strength and flavour over quantity.

Bath ales are superb. Majestic Wine Warehouse sell them by the case at a very reasonable price.

Favourite brewery is still Meantime. Worked serving/drinking them last summer. The coffee stout and raspberry grand cru are just amazing!

Unfortunately for me i'm on a gluten free diet at the moment so cider is the order of the day. Gaymers generic piss for tonight. Wish i had some Westons tho!

allthepies, I'll have you know that my time at Bunce's (as it was then!) means that I really can organise a pi55 up in a brewery! It's not that hard…!

Were you "hands on" at the brewery or some office marketing type bod ?

allthepies, I was very much hands on and indeed hands "in". Stig, who took over, has been brilliant at keeping the brewery as a real "craft" brewer. Beers made by good honest work, getting your hands and working with the hops, the malts etc.
    Not a big place!

It was a lovely time, mixing it all together, and then watching as the magic happened. Much like making bread, making beer is some kind of natural magic!

Oh yes, I understand! I've got a microbrewery in the garage 🙂

😆 I didn't notice that, I was being lazy and took the pic on my webcam, not sure why it mirrors stuff…

I forgot to buy a crate of Hawkshead Gold when I was at Wheelbase earlier today so am having to make do with a 750ml bottle of Leffe.

    I'm aaaf it tonight.

Tomorrow, however, is an entirely different proposition. I have (from memory):

    Titanic Stout
Hogsback brewery stout – the name of which escapes me
    Hawksheads Broadies Prime
    Dent Porter
    Ulverston Laughing Gravy
    Academy Ale (Westmoreland)
Erm… something from the lot that do Tag Lag which is dark
And a few more dark ones
And a case of Jennings Bitter. There are only 2 each of the other lot… think there was 30 bottles total.

Then we shall decamp to the pubs – The Swan has a rather fine selection on at the moment, The Mill is £2 a pint until the end of the month, also with a good selection…

May try a pub I aint been into yet if we get the chance, which I am led to believe has some fine ale in. Which would necessitate a stagger into the Stan Laurel on the way back past 😉

Sobriety will be futile. He he he he he. I fear a kebab may feature at some stage too….
