People who don't drive but ride a bike on the road are the worst road abusers,think they have a devine right to do whatever they please on the road & are so stuck their own A-holes it beggers belief !Ban them I say,no better yet burrrrnnnnnn 'em !

Sorry for the tangent (prob start another useless thread off this) but when did white cars become cool? I've noticed more and more expensive white cars lately - it used to be only if you couldn'd stretch to metalic or black that you went for white...

not had any issue with audi drivers 4x4 are usually driven by fat women takin there kids to school when its just down the road. but for me anyone who drives a bmw is a complete **** & i aint jelous as i wouldnt want one.

You are all going to love the V12 Bentley off-roaded (bigger version of the Audi A7 if you can beleive that is possible) when it arrives in 2012-2013!
Personally I think that you see lots of badly driven cars and it's down to the driver not the car. No stereotypes.

I still see far more crappy driving being done in BMW's than in any Audi's. Clarkson was just being his usual provocative arsy self on that rant, I think because footballers had rather taken to driving them. The d1ck'ead driving the Octy VRs who went tearing past me just after I pulled away from a set of traffic lights, and then past a Megan Scenic on a bend shortly after ought to have his keys confiscated. No reflection on Skoda drivers; I drive one. That's the point, a crap driver is a crap driver, and make of vehicle is largely irrelevant. Taxis, minibuses, white vans and any SUV on a half-mile school run are the worst.

Tough call, 2k on Berkshire roads this summer and I've regularly nearly been killed by RRs on the school run and middle aged men in Audis. But the Zafira (middle aged male) driver was the only one who actuallythreatened to run me over. Classy.
Agree with lynchmob, don't want one, I'd rather ride my bike cheers.....

I think there does tend to be a similar attitude of any one who drives a 4 x 4 or pick up that for some reason they own the road. They expect you to give way to them if the road narrows when coming towards you etc.
Then of course there is the 4 x 4 driver who has no idea how big their car is so stop when traffic comes towards them.
All 4 x 4's are good for killing pedestrians too.

Audi drivers are the worst I reckon, at least they have the fairy lights on them so when you see those in the distance you can brace for a truly spectacularly bad piece of driving coming up...

TBH, At least 95% of all drivers are tossers.
And no, you're not in the 5%...
Anyone who drives anything in London - no-one ever let's you out at a junction.
There's a lesson to be learned there.

While I agree the pimped-up RR Sports/X6s/Cayennes etc are ridiculous, the rest of this thread is just the usual crap that has been done to death.
I drive a leased BMW which seems to many on STW to put me somewhere on the social scale between sex offenders and the rioters. It's boring. I've "got" a BMW because it is cheap to run, safe, comfortable and decent to drive; the same reason 99% of people have got German cars.

I can't get over how many people drive Chelsea Tractors, RR's with 30" wheels & ultra low profile tyres who usually think they can park wherever.
My prize of the week goes to the proud owner of a convertible Aston Martin who abandonded it in the (paying part) of Harrogate District Hospital last Friday, just dumped it in 2 bays. I wish he'd been there when I parked my 51 Passat cos i think I might have parked close enough so he(or she) had to climb in through the passenger side. My boss meets all your criteria: lives in rural Cheshire, drives a black Q7, is loud, boorish, chauvinist, plays golf a lot and is a shockingly bad driver. In the car his foot is either flat on the accelerator or hard on the brake, he is incapable of holding a set speed; he rushes up behind cars then brakes hard. On a trip to London my neck began to ache with the constant acceleration and braking and I had to rest my head on the headrest. He has an accident around every two years. He needs specs but often doesn't wear them; on one horror drive a cyclist indicated and pulled out a good 100 yards ahead but my boss didn't spot the bloke until he was almost on our bonnet so he gave him the full horns and shouted abuse, which continued all down the road, to my embarrassment.
He is extremely good at business and a very good and fair boss but a shite driver.

4 x 4'scars are good for killing pedestrianstooif they're driven by half-wits.Fixed that for you. Mind you, I've never killed anyone in my 4x4 or, indeed, any other car I've owned. Just under a half a million miles driven and you'd think I'd have learned to do it properly, but no, I've failed to kill/injure/come into contact with any pedestrians or cyclists. I have been driven into whilst in my my big, look-how-much-of-the-road-I-own 4x4 (how they didn't see me I don't know) but that's hardly my fault.

Caught the train in from Enfield for the odd visit when I needed minimal tools - that was a pain in the arse too. I'll be buggered if I'm doing it with drums of cable, power tools and a 20kg toolbox.
As for the train, London folk are just ad ignorant on there too. At 6.30 am when people are stood up because all the seats are taken, why do people think its acceptable to sit in the aisle seat while their bag occupies the window seat?

We overtook a RR Sport being driven slowly down an unmade road, dodging the small puddles as he went. He caught us up at the bottom on a short tarmac stretch, wound down the passenger window & started:
"Oi! you splashed my car."
"Oh."
"I've only just had it cleaned"
"Oh, sorry."
"Sorry! Is that all you can say?"
"Well no, but you could expect a little dirt from driving a 4x4 down an unmade road couldn't you?"
"They're mountain bikes aren't they?"
"Yeah."
"Well why don't you **** off & find a mountain to play on then?"
"OK, will do. That's a c**k-wagon isn't it? - keep up the good work".Didn't hang around to catch the irade of expletives after that & there was no way he was gonna drive it down the bridalway opposite.

You need to get them to shift the bag off the seat, be rude if you have to, it works. The worst culprits are the Faux IT Types with thier ibad's playing kill em' all games.. Just pull thier earphone out of thier left/right ear and shout "shuv up skoolboy"
As for this stereotypical "bad drivers" I'll vote:
Mums driving kids in PukeWaggons.
Utterly reprehensible and downright irresponsible.
All other bad drivers cover a range of cars irrespective of type/age/hair colour/sexual deviance/personal ignorance

The thing is, once you notice someone being a dick in a particular type of car, you tend to notice others doing the same thing. I think it's also fair to say that someone being a dick in a 4x4 stands out somewhat, due to the size of their vehicle.

Most appalling drivers in my experience are mazda 6 drivers, driven by dads that seem to think their saloon is some sort of cool sports car and drive like their on a racing circuit.
I speak from experience not prejudice or jealousy.
I do think the range rover/audi/bmw haters have issues though.

The RRS is really great offroad, but even better onroad. Dispatches enormous European trips in amazing comfort with loads of room for kit. Shame so many douchebags seem to drive them though
