This can’t be his. If he rode it like that he’d rip the brake hose out within 10m’s. Its been re-assembled(?) wrongly.

Well its never been ridden in that state that’s for sure.

A bike that was being shipped to/from a foreign holiday in a bike box that went astray mid-journey? (creative imagination.com)

It’s a brilliant piece of work – a Santa Cruz Gonad with teeny, narrow bars, CK hubs and rims that look ancient…a 2003 vintage rear mech but recent Hope Moto brakes and that’s before we even start to discuss the fork…

Why would the hose rip out?

It looks like it has been built by somebody who doesn’t really know what they are doing but has been told that certain parts are good.

Why would the hose rip out?

Front brake hose is routed in front of the headset, then behind the fork, then between the fork legs to the wrong side of the bike.

Seems likely to cause issues to me.

I passed a Kona Stinky in Stirling today, hand painted matt black all over and a set of back to front triple clamp lowers as well 🙁
