i’ve always worn vegan vans trainers (the rowley signature models) but i’ve noticed they are now made in leather. anyone know if vans do a decent vegan shoe still? (not flimzy plimsoles!). or anyone know a stockist? seems the rocks of southern spain relished the challenge to trash my current shoes…

Their site lists ‘old skool vegan’ shoes, I dunno if you can get em in the UK though.

thanks for the help joe. i think they may be a bit too ‘plimsoley’ – they look very similar to the first pair i used which promptly ripped apart after a couple of months…

    anyone else know owt?

Do vegetarian shoes in Brighton (and on the web) still do a ‘skate’ shoe? I switched to these from Vans and never looked back. Although they are hit and miss, I’ve had pairs last me months and pairs last me years!

i still have 3 pairs of XL2s that are kev… the later rowleys have changed to leather, but i reckon if you wanna keep using rowleys then the best bet is to keep an eye on ebay, kates skates or suchlike.

goog- i’m registered on that site! haha!

XL2s were by far my favourite rowley vans. thanks everyone for the advice. are etnies any good for pedals? i had some once and the soles ripped apart really easily… and the grip was pish too…

I reckon etnies are pretty ****. All of the sets I’ve ever had have fallen apart really quickly
