I spoke to windwave today and they have offered me a coil spring kit for my old and problematic 55ATA 2. it would mean the fork is fixed at 160mm but should make it more consistent. Any experience of this conversion in the real world?
I am thinking it could end up on the old trailstar 2 frame hanging in the garage roof ready for next years megaavalanche. DH hardtail here we come.....

Can this be done, what year are you ATAs? I've never had a problem with mine but i do miss the smoothness of coils. Have they said how much it would cost to do?

they said it is about £50. my forks are 2007 but I think it applies to all ata models.

I'm now getting mine done, $70NZ which seems pretty good also you can still wind the fork down a bit it'll just reload the spring.
wanted to get it done on my 07 888 ATA's but that's a more complex task and much more costly at about $400NZ...still might consider it

would this conversion work with smaller forks like the all mountain sl?
