    Hi All,
I need to illustrate maps, diagrams, etc, sometimes from tiff's, jpeg's, pdf's. Illustrator seems to be the one, but the price "oy vey" surely there's an alternative. Oh and useful if it can work on windows and apple machines. Too much to ask?

Have a look at Macromedia Freehand MX, powerful and easier to use than illustrator, its development has been discontinued, but is still for sale. It was the main competition to Illustrator before Macromedia was bought by adobe.

    cheap copies on ebay
