ALDI are doing a 2.5HP compressor this week for £82. (here).

Has anyone got one? Are they any good for seating tubeless tyres? I have resorted to using CO2 cartridges on a couple of difficult tyres lately, so am wondering whether a compressor would be worth having (I would have other uses for it, but probably not enough to justify buying it unless it makes tubeless inflation/tyre swapping easier.)

With a 24 liter tank it’ll work fine for tubelessing.

I have a really old 1.5HP compressor with just 15L litre capacity and it makes tubeless a doddle. It’s probably seriously overkill for fitting tubeless tyres (heavy).

£82 buys hell of a lot of cartridges from places like tyreinflators.co.uk.
I would love a compressor but considering I have used 4 cartridges in 18 months and have just bought 30 I can’t really justify getting one.

I’ve got a 2Hp / 24L one (Screwfix Direct, £62) which is more than man enough for the job. To keep it company I got a pile of the air tools Aldi were doing on Sunday.

. Screwfix are not longer doing this one at £62 by the way – I’m sure it was mis-priced.

    Yeah its great.

I got an impact wrench set too which makes working on the car a doddle.

Just been and got one, have now blown everything up. Seems ok for the money.

Did it come with a fitting for a presta valve?
