    I would go so far as to say that I have never seen a commercial jet over Malvern, yet today i have seen three, not particularly high either.

    I appears they are "stacking" for Birmingham airport. Do they move their stacking areas depending on weather?

    Actually no, it is the same two going round and round. Possibly around 30 minutes now, reasonably close to each other.

    Probably something from RAF Fairford, apparentley the Malverns are often used as a vantage point for exercise.

    It was just trundling along very sedately. Last time I saw it airborne (about 25 years ago) it was going vertical with flames coming out of the back 😛

    humanbean – yep thats the one, I thought it would be strange for a commercial jet!

    moe – I thought they were C5 Galaxies but having seen humanbean's pic, I agree they're C17.

    Flying at c6,000 ft. I think.

    Today we had 4 Sea Kings (I think?) go over and some C130s.
