As above. Closing next weekend to concentrate on e-commerce. News on Facebook.

Hopefully someone will be able to come in and use the shop/ cafe. It’s a shame as ae has not been getting the bad press of previous years and it is a good centre. Hope they don’t move too far!

Looking forward to seeing the full business up and running.

Agree. Think if FC diverted some of the resources being thrown at the GT family orientated stuff and created some more green/blue routes and utilised the riverside/river area a bit more then it would attract a lot more riders from that group. Great scope for mini-downhill sections and there is enough local talent to garner some coaching from.
Not difficult to imagine Ae becoming the GT of Dumfries.
Unfortunately (in a good way) Kirroughtree is at the front of the queue
FCalso need to get behind whoever takes over to persuade Amey to allow signposting to be erected. Seems a bit unfair that GT can get a dirty great sign and not any of the trail over this side(Mabie & Ae)

    it’s a shame.

    but…

GT deserves to be a success because effort has been made to get everyone involved; beginners, novices, and experienced riders.

the Blue at Ae however, is utter pants, so noobies don’t go back.

(or at least, none of the noobies i’ve shown round Ae want to go back – they vote for GT everytime)

swoopy blues = noobies, families, kids, etc. lots of people who want to get fed and warm.

long techy reds = none of the above.

(warning: massive generalisations have been made)
