You know there is something about that song.
I went through a tough time in Jan and Feb this year... I thought I was coping ok and then a few weeks ago, I was on my way to llandegla and XFM played a live version of someone like you, and it just destroyed me. It kind of hit all the marks as to what I was going through.
Wonderful album.

Doesn't do much for me. Just like Nora Melua types imo.
Though I suspect the real, though somewhat shallow reason for my lack is interest, is that I find her butt ugly.
I'm not happy with my reasoning, but I can't escape from it.Where as despite sounding quite dreadful a lot of the time, Florence has far nicer legs and is just far far more yummy.

I much preferred 'Make You Feel My Love', but she's beginning to grate on me in general a tad now.
As per, I blame Radio and it's ridiculously small playlist for sucking any enjoyment out of it by having it on a loop 24 times a day.

Who'd have thought this time last year that you'd be able to spell out L-I-F-E-G-O-E-S-O-N so bloody easily. And radio has ruined The Vaccines "If you wanna come back" which was a catchy indie singalong song. It's as annoying as that stupid umbrella song now.

Interesting comparison Mr Munro - both Florence and Adele share the same co-composer on many of their songs (Paul Epworth)
She also works with other co-composers who work with Duffy.

Adele is in the same bracket as Dido and David Gray. Middle of the road music to play during dinner parties in the background just under the level of hearing and the case left jauntily on the coffee table.

Not a fan myself, but that could be down to the local radio station I have to listen to at work playing it so often in a day (7 times in one 9 hour shift last week).
Plenty of people seem to like her stuff though so she must be doing something right.

Adele's ok ish, but I agree with a person "off of" the radio or television a couple of years ago who said that the other 'white girl wiht a black voice' Duffy's voice sounded like one of those curly party blower things.
Now that's all I can hear when she goes "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!"

I don't like her music much either. The problem I think is she is very mediocre. This does however mean most people can either relate to her, her music or match her voice and sing along. I certainly wouldn't compare her to Beethoven, Bobdylan (a part from the Dylan cover) or Fanklin. More Lilly Allen or Oasis to me.
