They confuse me at times and I only have some figured out:
OP = Either original poster or opening poster
IMO = Im my opinion
IMHO = In my humble opinion
IIRC = If I recall correctly
IME = In my experience

You don't. Unless you're foreign. An acronym has to be a pronounceable word, you know, like laser, radar, naafi, hotas, arc, etc.
Anything not pronounceable (that is made up from the letters of a phrase) is an initialism.
