So my post earlier in the week showed my cracked Cove Hummer frame. This has just been sent back for warranty.

Just had a guy round to true my rear wheel on my road bike which has a slight buckle.

It’s a 2010 Mavic Ksyrium Elite which was OE on my Cannondale road bike.
    No wonder it’s buckled..look!

Cracked at the rim in three different places!

Guy said it’s been over tensioned yet the wheels have never been touched!

Is this a warranty job or is that the life of a wheel these days!?

It should be a warranty job – no way should a wheel do that with ordinary use in 2 years. Good luck with that though!

My Crossmax did that about 8 years ago, good to see Mavic have really moved with the times 🙄

If it’s less than 2 years old then Mavic will warranty that.
Had exactly the same happen and it was all sorted within a week.
Take it to your local mavic dealer, they’ll do the rest. Simples!
