Blimey, brings back some memories. Was a particularly tough year as a kid, many hours of distraction were spent in the Argos catalogue (and the littlewoods, but I wont go into that).

The “Galaxy Commander.” Uh, 6980? I wanted that set so badly, it was the coolest Lego I’d ever seen. Got it for Christmas one year. Ace.

That brings back memories. I love those VHS video boxes thay you had to try and fool people in to thinking you had a full set of leather-bound encyclopeadias on your shelf in the living room.

err… you can, errr… I’m told that Argos catalogues of that era sold showers and there may have been pictures of people using those showers…
no idea whether, errr, whether it’s true. ahem.

Binners – at the start point of one of our normal night rides we found the modern equivelant of hedge pron – it was in the form of a DVD.

Sadly we didnt have a DVD to hand.

With the advent of modern phones just who does buy printed material these days ?
