As title says.
After dicking about with gears on my Gryphon I’ve converted it back to single speed using a cheapo KMC chain.
I just wondered whether people went for cheap and cheerful or burly and expensive (relatively).

KMC 610, £7.95 from CRC at the moment.
Avoid SRAM PC1; they’re more stretched new than the KMC after a couple of thousand miles!

These are worth the extra few quid for longevity

The chain I’ve got is a KMC510s, buried well down in the KMC website.

Charlie got the 510 for less than a tenner, best chain I’ve ever had!

Have had a PC-1 for about a month. Exploded yesterday, grrrrrr

Also had a Sram, think it was a PC-1…..

Absolute garbage! – snapped on me twice.

Now running a KMC with no issues.
