by 0

The GoPro Hero 9 action camera launch could be sooner than you might expect as the tech brand hints at an event on the 16th September.

GoPro hasn’t been able to keep a lid on the new GoPro Hero 9 we’ve seen it in videos uploaded by Brendan Fairclough (it’s still visible even in his edited version), and tech websites have already published detailed specifications of the camera, plus images of the new retail packaging.

Through-out all of these leaks, GoPro has remained quiet about the new camera, that is until yesterday when they finally hinted at a launch event. GoPro’s social media was updated with a short teaser video letting us know that something is coming on the 16th of September. The video mentions “more resolution” and “more everything” check it out below.

Those little tidbits of information confirm a few of the details that we had already seen leaked. More Resolution seems to be true as the Hero 9 is expected to offer 5K video @ 30FPS and the sensor is also believed to be a larger 20-megapixel model. More Everything? Well, this is probably a hint at the front-facing colour display on the GoPro Hero 9.
