I’ve just plumped for a pair of these…

With photochromic lenses as my only pair of specs (ok so I have safety specs for work, but these will do everything else)

I’m incredibly careful with them at the minute, but they function well on both MTB and Road rides.

+1 for Innerhaven – 12 might be stretching it though…
6 proper beds there and the kitchen/lounge gets bright early in a morning (I’m a snorer so that’s my usual spot!)

10 points to who can spot what’s wrong with that picture.

    I’ve just upgraded my edge 25 to a 520.
The 25 worked fine for nav (although occasoinally I’d miss the turn and have to turn back to catch it) but struggles with routes from external sources as it doesn’t take .gpx directly – a complicated (and IME unreliable) conversion process is required.
The 520, although having a ‘map’ is not really any better for nav, but .gpx can be dragged and dropped with ease. I’ve loaded mine with talkytoaster maps <<SEE HERE>> and it looks great.
Not actually used it in anger yet, but all the PC based modifications were much simpler than the 25.

Bet you the tangential difference is more than wiped out by the difference in pitch along the length of the chain…

Out of interest – I notice you missed the word Boiled from your patch testing of linseed oil…
NOTE: this isn’t just linseed oil, but a mix of linseed oil with solvents and other goodies that makes it go off like varnish (and also spontaneously combust)…

If you just wiped plain linseed oil on, I’m not surprised it wasn’t very effective!

Disclaimer: never used it as a metal protector, but have for gunstocks.

I got the Lakeland one more to stop crumbs ending up all over the kitchen.
As mentioned, it is adjustable and works well – providing you have a nice long knife with a flat blade…

If the premier subscription isn’t enough to fund the running of the site, put the price up…
But kindly **** right off renaging on the deal to remove advertisements if I pay.

As previously mentioned by others, especially given the appearance of the links being identical – the implication that I might endorse these links without any knowledge of their existence worries me greatly…

I too will likely cancel my P if this is not resolved.

Mine (insulated/boarded/carpeted) cost me about £400 in materials and a few weeks of evenings to fit.
But then I just have a plywood organiser/bike stand affair and a hammock that can be removed to leave me with an actual van…

I’ve got a handcrafted one from a guy at a game fair, it wouldn’t look out of place on a shirehorse so should last – wasn’t cheap at ~£35 IIRC but assuming it lasts properly, the cost of ownership should be quite low.

I think I have his card at home…

    But why would it snap?

    lerk
    Free Member

I look at it like this:
Powerlocks have a tighter clearance around the pin making them harder to snap on and off. After a few uses, this clearance opens up and you are left with something which bears a striking resemblance to a Powerlink… This wear can be accelerated with suitable tools. ;)

Who the f*ck worries about their 9spd SRAM or 10spd KMC links opening if the chain goes slack?
And come to think of it, in the age of clutched mechs – who’s chain is slack anyway???!

Renault traffic has indicator lamps above the bumper, vauxhall are in the bumper, nerd fact.

Not so much a nerd fact as a made up one…
Pre 2007(?) ones are in the bumper whether made sold by Renault, Vauxhall or Nissan.

A smear of silicone grease under there and I cant feel any drag, yet the seal is as tight as a very tight thing!

Do you not have the ‘fixed’ lezyne end with the bleed button on it?

My floordrive has this end and have never had an issue…

Mind you, I also don’t feel the need to bottom the threads when attaching the pump either! ;)

Alternatively, head down to your local ag merchants and pick up a new length of round fence rail and just replace it…

…then chop the old one into suitable lengths for your wood burning stove!

The safety button sounds like the safety thermostat to me…
If your normal thermostat has frozen in, then the safety one will open to prevent overheat, but not (in my experience) before causing the relief valve to spill a little.

Although expansion vessel could also be low/punctured too.

Rotor mtb ovals are about £300 and from what I can see are no longer made…
I too have been looking at the idea.

Best I could think of was to use two NW rings and bin the mech, just having the granny as an emergency option.

Or going ridiculously low on your gearing choice – I have effectively done this on my alfined bike to miss the gear inch chasm between 1st and 2nd, it really doesn’t bother me if I spin out on downhill sections.
    Something like a 28T oval?

Assuming it isn’t a blind hole, start drilling out from the rear – drill will create some heat and will be driving it out as you drill.

Only thing booked as yet is my first school holidays holiday in 15 years…
A week in Paphos with a water park, many pools and supposedly great snorkelling available.

My partners daughter was really excited to be going on her first ‘proper’ holiday on an aeroplane and everything – her dad then told her its very close to a war… knob!

Fortunately she is quite level headed and understands that we wouldn’t be allowed to go if it was that bad.

we very nearly lost a loader when I was an apprentice – a guy turned up in site with a low loader and some paperwork to sign, so one of the drivers backed the shovel onto the trailer and helped him strap it down…
Fortunately the gaffer turned up just as the lorry was weighing out and rumbled him!

That’s my birthday and I’m not at work, but I’ve only just started riding after three months of whooping cough and haven’t even touched the five yet so although an uplift day sounds good from a fitness PoV, I’d likely require an ambulance due to rusty skills…
