I can't remember what they're called, but that one is just a very tiny baby one, because they grow HUGE 😯

So if ever you feel a bit of resistance whilst trying to push your bathroom door open, be very very careful 😐

Looks like a whip spider. Where do you live?
Oh and they won't hurt you.

Edit: they do grow very big but are quite fascinating and some people collect them.

More to the point, what's that in the bottom right corner of the picture. 😯

It will grow to the size of a golf ball, crawl up your bum in the night and eat you from the inside.

They live in groups of six. How many have you found?

That's not true. Well I know for a fact that the ones found in the Bahamas are particularly dangerous 😯

We live in the British Virgin Islands. We've got our fair share of bugs, Ground Spiders, Tarantulas, Snakes, Scorpions and Centipedes but that was the first one of those I've seen.

Ah, the deadly pinchy bathroom floor spider.
One of those ate my cat last year.

Yeah it's a whip scorpion/spider as roper said. I saw one the size of a dinner plate on a night hike in Peru last year and nearly shat myself. I didn't think they were venomous either but may be wrong?

    Are you sure?

"they are not true spiders as they do not produce any silk or venom. Their common name refers to the whiplike movements of their first pair of legs."

Maybe it's like the myth that tarantulas kill people? I was under the impression they hunt and eat in a similar way to a mantis, grabbing hold and chewing.
They do caress their young with their front Whips like legs which is pretty unusual.

If I found that in the bathroom I get the child, wife and cats and leave.

You can always get another house.

Maybe go back and torch the place nuke it from orbit

Got scared by those last year in Nicaragua, wondered why our bed was in the middle of the room until we came back in the evening to find a couple of these on the wall along with frogs and geckos!
Thank god they haven't made it to the UK just yet, my wife might leave (hang on, that sounds good, can you post the body here!)

That sent a cold shiver down my back!
One of the veg wholesalers in Covent Garden used to have a hall of fame photo wall of stuff found in produce, ranged from bird eating spiders to scorpions and even a hooded cobra and every bug and creepy crawly that you'd normally see on Discovery Animal Planet.
