after putting some rather nice Red Salsa bar tape on the cx bike. I noticed the packet had warnings about lead in the tape, and saying it is hazardous and to wash hands immediatly after contact. Should I just replace the tape then? Seems an odd choice of material for something you’re supposed to hold onto.

As kids, we did a lot of fishing..

The nastiest stuff is the white oxide you can get from lead. In a bar tape, it seems a ridiculous material to use.

If you want to be cautious I would wash hands before touching God directly you wish to eat. Apple’s etc.

Me? I would just replace the tape personally… So save weight.Lol
