    emm other people who want to ride their bikes? they are there because the forestry commission built a **** big trail centre there with good facilities, an “all weather” surface, the temperatures are mild for the time of year and they probably got new toys for christmas they want to use or have a new years resolution to excercise/get out more… and ‘everywhere’ else is one giant mud bath.

    …in fact possibly the same reasons you are there.

    Not true! Had a phenomenal ride today across the minch moor to Broadmeadows (nr selkirk) – 95% rideable. (route from the brilliant Phil McKane book) Great conditions. Get out and try it!
