  • Why does my frame have plastic bag in it?

Been splitting my bike down and found that in the top tube there is a lot of what seems like plastic bag. Tried to remove it but it is not coming out. Why is it there and does it/did it ever serve a purpose.

    Carbon frame?

Is it a carbon frame? If so It maybe the balloon type thing they use for forming the tubes.

    Maybe.

Is it a carbon frame?. When my carbon frame broke it had plastic inside. I think they blow into the bags to get the shape of the frame when they are making them in the factories.

obviously whoever put bike together took the term builder literally and stuffed all the rubbish in a convenient location
