    Shopping on ebay for new printer cartridges I came across a guy selling three empty cartridges. They've been bid up to over £16 (4 bidders). I've got the same three empty cartridges here about to get chucked (into the supplied envelopes to get recycled)

    depends, some can be re-set, others just zapped to destroy the chip, either way you can then re-fill the cartridge and the printer will accept it as new.

    but why pay for empties?
