Same as at Grizedale, all at once – 3,2,1, go. The whippets will push past everyone 5 minutes before the start to get poll position and make sure that their race faces are mean enough 😉 .
I might start near the back to experience some overtaking – albeit briefly…
not getting lapped may be a good target…

Its slippy this time of year. Also a lot of the surface has worn over winter so there’s a lot of sharp/flinty rock/slate exposed in certain sections. I thought about light tyres but i think anytime gained will be lost going down and even more when your fixing the cut in the sidewall!!
Sticking with bigger tyres.
